You know why I don't listen to pop 60's music very often!? - I don't want to get stuck in the past.
This song echos that era...

Pop out
Listen to 60's music all the time, and it's no different than this...Image

Popular present day pop is too busy for me.
I listen only to calming 'Classical' music, - Beethoven and stuff - where I have no emotional attachments to the music.
...this way, I don't dwell in past memories of the 60's.
There's no reason we can't have the time-of-our-lives 'now'. :D

You have no emotional attachments to those songs, Dale. Much like me listening to the Classical's ...I wasn't born in that era.

Yes, G, 'good memories' come flooding into my head when I listen to 60's music! :D - But, I won't listen to an all oldies radio station ...because that time has past for me.
Listening to the all-oldies station in 'present day' would have the effect of making me melancholy, yearning for the past. - And that's not a healthy way to proceed-on in present day. :D
...so, I listen to nice tranquil Classical music - that I have no emotional attachment to - and watch the kids go down the water slide, and do their present day jitterbug! :)) ...being glad that I'm not them sliding down the water slide, or I'd need an ambulance waiting for me at the bottom! :)) - I prefer not getting jostled and banged around now! :D

I like "elevator" music, cant get a decent station here though, so its either country music or CD's for me

sometimes I do get lost in the past and really enjoy listening to the oldies....when I am in my office or craft room I do play oldies, I dont always feel in the past though listening to them, just certain songs do that for me...

I don't get stuck anywhere just from listening to a certain song.
Can't blame the songs.
I love a variety of music and am attached to various songs from several eras.
Both before my time and of my time.
Only memories of past happenings bring back past memories, not the songs themselves.
If a bad memory comes up I just think about something else from a happier time or a happier time yet to be had. @};-

Yeah! elevator music is GREAT! :D - Calming! :D

Well, if you can't get a decent station, Mom ..dig out your old shortwave set from the closet, and fiddle with the dials! :D
I'm sure you'll find 'something' to listen to amidst all the hissing, cracking, and crackling! :D
You're supposed to get radio stations from all over the world with it! :D - Even Moscow and South America! :D
...it was very mysterious! :qshok:
Image
...I tried it, but all I could get from it was a hisss, snap, and crackle!
...maybe you'd have better luck, Mom! Image

for some reason the stations here that played nice elevator music switched to either really hard rock :-o or country.... so its country.... if hunny isnt home then its elevator music by CD that is on...
