It appears this cop doesn't have quite the proper temperment to continue to serve and protect the people in his community any longer, if he ever did to begin with.
Some people just aren't cut out for it or burn out from it. Maybe never had the right stuff for the job to begin with. If so, somebody should have noticed before 13 years went by. People like him give the good cops a bad name to. That's too bad. It's not fair to them but that's what will most likely happen. I'm sure not all the rest of the department acts like this guy, at least I hope not or else....."Houston, we have a problem."

I would imagine that after 13 years on the job, this was not the 1st incident. Therre are probably some out there still in fear of coming forward and implicating this "Cop." If indeed this story is accurate he will serve some time behind bars never to wear the badge again. We have to bear in mind that the media tells stories one way and the truth often is far from it.

He is on desk work, still collecting pay. It will take years to go through the legal system, and he will retire with a pension. Or (as in Canada) he can retire just before the sentencing hearing, and all charges will be dropped, and he retires without a blemish on his record.

Nice to see the old folks awake so early. It isn't even noon.
