Yup! :D

'Actually', I was going to compose a thing when I first made this thread ...but, I didn't have the time. ("Time pressure" on my endeavor is freaking me out!)

Anyway ..I'll compose 'now'.
When my life fell to pieces back n 1987, I eventually ended up living in Vancouver city for 2 years.
It was quite an experience.
I lived 2 blocks from Hastings Street.
If you don't know Hastings Street - as I didn't, at the time - ...it is the roughest area in Vancouver.

Well, I was just browsing around on utube a few days back, and happened to stumble upon a video of Vancouver, while listening to Leann Rimes "Can't fight The Moonlight".
The Vancouver video struck me so heavily, accompanied with the sound of Leann Rimes "Can't fight The Moonlight".

Soooo ..what you do is turn the sound off on the Vancouver video, and listen to the Leann Rimes "Can't fight The Moonlight" while watching the Vancouver video.
(The existing song on the Vancouver video is completely inappropriate to me. - Feelingless.)

Memory of the scenes in the Vancouver video is sooo real to me.
Those people choose that life, as did I.
Though I will probably never go back there ..I could handle it if I had to.
I kinda feel akin to those people. (Except for the robbers and hurtful people.)
All the time I was in Vancouver I never prostituted myself, or ever took any drugs ..not even Marijuana.

isnt life just so sad sometimes....

guess I have been lucky ....grew up on military bases so we didnt see any of that stuff, by the time my dad retired I was in high school, sure had a lot to learn too, civilian life was so different than military life....who knew you had bad areas of towns?? luckily we always ended up in a decent place, especially where we are now, its still the best part of town, its one of the pricier parts too, but it wasnt always that way, most folks didnt like it here in my area cuz it was too far from town, so the gangs and other types stay at the other end of town #:-s #:-s even after 40 years it hasnt changed much, oh people come and go but its still quiet, no gangs, and the property values have stayed high...
